OVERVIEW
Give hope to students with disabilities to continue schooling.

Our SAWL members, partners and friends, including Minister Indranee Rajah, Ms Rani Singam, and Lee Ci En, came together and lent their voices to help raise funds for the SAWL Scholarship Fund! The music video is a beautiful rendition of Charlie Lim's "Room at the Table" which aptly appeals to everyone for more graciousness and inclusivity in our society.

Through this Fund, we not only assist students with disabilities on their educational needs, we hope to bring them one step closer to achieving their dreams and aspirations. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we have received 90% more applications for the Fund and we hope to be able to extend our support to more beneficiaries.
Local context
The Singapore Association of Women Lawyers (SAWL) is a non-for-profit organization focused on supporting students with disabilities and helping them continue their education. Founded around the belief that inclusion strengthens communities, SAWL brings its members, partners, and friends together to rally support for its SAWL Scholarship Fund. With contributions and voices from notable supporters, including Minister Indranee Rajah, Ms Rani Singam, and Lee Ci En, SAWL has helped raise funds to address educational needs and bring students one step closer to their dreams and aspirations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization reported a significant rise in scholarship applications, with 90% more applications received, reflecting growing demand for its assistance. SAWL’s fundraising efforts include creative outreach such as a music video featuring “Room at the Table,” a rendition of Charlie Lim’s work, centered on themes of graciousness and inclusivity. Serving as a mission-driven resource for educational equity, SAWL continues working to extend support to more beneficiaries in the years ahead—making a meaningful impact for communities far beyond Singapore, including those in Memphis, Tennessee.
